Leisure Activities (Actividades de Ocio) In this lesson, we will explore Spanish vocabulary and phrases related to leisure activities. Objectives By the end of this lesson, you will be able to: Identify and use Spanish vocabulary related to various leisure activities. Understand and use phrases to discuss your hobbies, express your interests, and talk about how you spend your free time. Discuss your favorite leisure activities in Spanish. Vocabulary Leisure Activities: leer (to read), escuchar música (to listen to music), ver películas (to watch movies), practicar deportes (to practice sports), etc. Hobbies: coleccionar sellos (to collect stamps), tocar un instrumento (to play an instrument), pintar (to paint), etc. Outdoor Activities: pasear en bicicleta (to ride a bike), hacer senderismo (to hike), pescar (to fish), etc. Phrases Me gusta leer libros de misterio en mi tiempo libre. (I like to read mystery books in my free time.) En los fines de semana, me gusta practicar deportes con mis amigos. (On weekends, I like to play sports with my friends.) Tocar la guitarra es una de mis aficiones favoritas. (Playing the guitar is one of my favorite hobbies.) Me encanta hacer senderismo en las montañas. (I love hiking in the mountains.) Exercises NOTE: These exercises will be provided at the end of the lesson. Vocabulary Quiz: Test your knowledge of the new vocabulary with a multiple-choice quiz. Leisure Activities Scenario: Use the new vocabulary in context by describing a typical weekend or a day off. Role Play: Practice the new vocabulary by playing the role of two friends planning a weekend outing. Writing Exercise: Write a short paragraph about your favorite leisure activities using the new vocabulary and phrases.
