IGCSE. Working World
About the Course
In the "The World of Work" section of our Spanish language course, students will delve into the essential language skills needed to navigate the realms of education and employment. This will empower them with the vocabulary and phrases necessary to discuss academic and professional environments effectively in Spanish. The section encompasses the following:
Education: Students will learn how to discuss various educational settings, from schools to universities, and the education system in general. They will gain familiarity with the Spanish terms for different levels of education and training, classroom-related vocabulary, learning tools, and academic subjects. This will also include language associated with studying techniques and academic life.
Work: The course will also cover the professional domain, including different jobs and career paths. Students will acquire the language to talk about various workplaces, job roles, and the nuances of professional life. This will prepare them for conversations about their own work experiences or to engage in discussions related to the job market and professional environments.
By the end of this section, a final examination will be administered to assess the students’ proficiency in the vocabulary and concepts related to education and the world of work. This examination will help ensure that students are able to apply the language skills they have learned to real-world scenarios within the domains of education and employment.
Completion of this section will render students more capable of discussing their educational background and work experiences in Spanish, thereby enhancing their communicative competence in academic and professional settings.
